MindBeast

So one day I was EXTREMELY frustrated, sleep deprived, and creative-minded... so I went into an almost half-meditative trance as I drew this, and when I "woke up" and realized what was on my screen I KNEW I had to finish it. Despite the fact that it looks nothing like him, it appeared in my mind as a representation of Saku.

This was made entire in GIMP from the sketch, to the line art, to the coloring. Also, the background was painted entirely by me, though I'll admit I used a texture effect and the blurred and changed the color. It started out all very sandy-colored then I changed it to purple since the last time I did a "meditative drawing" it ended up being my "mindscape" in which everything was a deep purple-like color anyway... And then I rediscovered that I absolutely LOATH shading yellow! Even more than dark blue!

Anyhow, this is a REALLY personal piece, and there's really not much more I could say than that... but I am SO pleased with this, despite its age, that I would favorite it if I could favorite my own stuff. XD and that's saying a lot since I wouldn't favorite most of my gallery!!
